Sorta spoiler but not really wish I could hide it but a PM would take too long.
Just for the record I don't know whether or not this follows, but if you recall, earlier in the manga there was a huge giant that had recieved Luffy's shadow. I recall it being called Oz. Is it possible that the name of one of the people of whom it looked like you weren't quite sure of was supposed to say Oz's decendant. I could be wrong though. As the people who had done that translation could have been wrong. They look the same though.

This is supposed to be Oz's descendent, but the translator says he believes that the author in English wanted to call hims Oars, Oz was just the translation that people thought it was, he thinks in 551, the English name was confirmed as Oars rather than Oz.
